{Almost Free} Nature Inspired Fall Decor

I mentioned in yesterday’s post I’d be adding a few touches of fall to the inside of my home. I really kept is simple y’all and just changed a few things. Little changes sure help set the mood though!

First things first…I needed it to smell like fall! I’m in love with Swan Creek Candle Company’s break apart melts and these two scents made me weak in the knees! The aroma is intense and they last a long time! Harvest Pumpkin Ale is my new fav! Pick some up at Midtowne Antique Mall next time you’re stocking up on paint supplies! Swan Creek Candles

On to decor…

I didn’t do much to the dining room table. I exchanged my lemons for pumpkins and squash, keeping a vibrant pop pf color. In a few months, I’ll swap the pumpkins for ornaments or candy.

I painted a few of the pumpkins with Websters Chalk Paint Powder and Mascarpone by Benjamin Moore. I gave them a little glow with Daddy Van’s Shimmer Wax. Be still my heart!

I used empty salad dressing jars to create simple vases.

After cleaning and taking off the labels, I joined the jars with jute rope {a staple around here}, running it between the jars and tying it off.

They are perfect for displaying the changing leaves!

These will transition beautifully to winter with pine branches!

I clipped fresh boxwood branches while exploring the yard too. I really like to keep something crisp and “living” in the house. In florist’s foam, these branches will stay vibrant for over a month!

Lastly, this candle holder got some special attention. I just brought in a few elements from outdoors {free is always good, right?} and layered them inside.
