Footloose and Fancy Free

It’s the start of Spring Break and while I have a shop full of projects, I’m hanging up the brush to hang with the kiddos for the week. The boys have already prepared their home made bow and arrows, cross bows and slingshots so we’re gonna spend a little time in the woods, practicing our aim! I’ll be doing it in comfort too! It’s been a long time coming ladies, but I finally traded in style for comfort! My cute hills and wedges will be missed sorely, but collecting dust is no way to live! I’ve tried to give them some love in small doses but the mere sight of them makes my knees and back scream!

No shame at all in my new comfy kicks! LOVE my new Sketchers Go Walk Slip ons!  I haven’t had a chance to wear the sneakers yet but they are in line for our Spring Break plans!

Enough about my feet! Let me show you some of the feet I painted this week! The spring colors made for happy painting! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Webster’s Chalk Paint Powder? And, have I mentioned how much I LOVE using it with Benjamin Moore’s Aura paint? Sweet smelling {no voc’s!} and perfect coverage!

Ready for Webster's Chalk Paint Powder

First up, the twin set of French Nightstands. Like my high heels, they’ve been sitting lonely, collecting dust since last summer. Leslie rescued them from my “Pick Your Paint” section to match a French Dresser I painted for her last year! Here’s the before…

Amazing what paint can do, right? Now, check out the largest piece I’ve ever painted! It’s a gigantic display cabinet I found it at an estate sale on half price day! It fit the bill for a wish list item I’d been hunting for Kendra, the owner of Bimini Butterfly, where I retail my goods. Bimini is a fresh, youthful boutique with colors of every shade! This hum drum dark {faux} wood would never work!

Kendra chose the perfect shade of pink, Benjamin Moore’s Springtime Bloom! How perfect is this gonna be to display Vera Bradley’s Baby line?
