Meet “The Reverend”! He took me on adventures this week and most importantly, ministered to my soul! My client, Julie, had been searching for months when she ran across his sweet face!
It was pure joy to reFresh him but the true reFreshing came FROM him
Julie brought me an old hymn book, bookmarked with all her favorites. She wanted them to grace the top of the desk and wanted the body to coordinate with the end tables she purchased from me last year. I cleaned him up and gave him a few coats of Skydive. It’s one of the happiest shades of blue everrrr by Benjamin Moore. Of course, I turned it into a chalky dream with Websters Chalk Paint Powder and skipped the priming and sanding!
I was already grooving to the sound of Al Green’s “Love and Happiness” in my head, but my whole heart burst into song as I applied the beautiful hymns.
I lightly distressed the whole thing and accented the piece with my trusty ink pad.
The “Finishing Touch” made a HUGE difference, right?
So thankful for my repeat clients and so thankful for a job which not only allows me to renew forgotten pieces but also renews my soul!
Big Smooches!

Wow, I love the way The Reverend turned out. The sheet music is perfection! Have a great Sunday, Hope
Thank you, Hope! He made Julie smile too, which meant everything! xo
Wow, the desk before and after the custom job look so different! I love the idea of using old sheet music to make a cute shabby chic design on the top of the desk. It would be so cool if I could have my living room furniture painted this way too. It’d definitely transform the entire room!
